Antique Swedish Herbarium - Wild Mint, circa 1908

$295.00

Collected in 1908, this antique pressed flower once thrived along streambanks and sunlit woodland edges where cool water met warm light, and where mint, wild and uninvited, made itself at home.

Mentha arvensis, or Field Mint, was a plant of quiet abundance. Its small lilac blossoms and lance-shaped leaves were known more for their scent than their beauty bracing, clean, unforgettable. Herbalists knew it. Bees adored it. And whoever pressed this specimen knew it was worth preserving.

The structure remains intact: each node, each pair of opposite leaves, a perfect record of mint’s untamed order.

Simple. Unpretentious. As refreshing in form as it once was in fragrance.

Unframed. Botanical. Grounded in history.
