Vintage Finnish Herbarium - Cinnamon Rose, circa 1957

Not the hothouse rose of Paris, nor the florist’s polished bouquet. This one grew wild in Finland, 1957. Cinnamon Rose, unperfumed but stubbornly alive. Pressed flat against the page, it gave up its fragrance but kept its shape, its spine, its story. The sort of flower that endured Arctic winds, long twilights, and the occasional midsummer kiss by a lake. Preserved here, exactly as it was, unruly, authentic, impossible to imitate.
