Vintage Swedish Herbarium - Geranium silvaticum ~ Wood Cranesbill, circa 1945

Collected in the village of Alsike in Uppland, Sweden, this Wood Cranesbill was carefully gathered during the mid-1940s, when much of the Swedish countryside remained shaped by traditional farming and wildflower meadows. Blooming in early summer, its soft violet-pink flowers would have brightened the edges of fields and open woodlands, creating quiet pockets of color across the landscape.
